Mr. Archer was a retired farmer, a member of the Olive Hill Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers were Donald Archer, Nick Nicholson, Cohen Archer, Arnold Ivey, Sammie Roberts and Dewey Archer. Mayo Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
