Bruce S Ragsdale, 83, of Mabank, Tx passed away March 10 2000, in Tyler, Texas. Services will be 3:00pm, Wed, March 15, in the Payne Springs United Methodist Church in Payne Springs with Rev. Jim Chatham officiating. Interment will follow at the Payne Springs Cemetery. Mr Ragsdale was born Sept 26, 1916 in Dallas to Artie G and Maude E (Snyder) Ragsdale. He had lived in Mabank for 20 years. He was a member of the Payne Springs United Methodist Church,Newsboys Club,treasurer of Cedar Creek Republican Club and served in the U.S. Army 84th Infantry Division, Battle of the Bulge in World War II.
Survivors include his daughters, Janet Bryant, of Dallas, Barbara Riggs of Mesquite and Lori Palmer of Lewisville; son Frank Pope of Dallas; 7 grandchildren;4 great grandchildren; brother Eugene Ragsdale of Gun Barrel City; sister-in-law Ann Daughtery of Mabank and a host of friends.
