Mrs. Jessie Lemuel Hamill, age 91, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 in the Roane Medical Center, Harriman, Tennessee. She was born April 6, 1922 in Caryville, Tennessee to Lacy Lemuel Adkins and Martha Catherine Heckman Adkins. Mrs. Hamill was a member of First Baptist Church, Rockwood, Tennessee. She was a hard worker at the former B & J Café, Peggy Ann Truck Stop / Restaurant, Lynn's Steakhouse, and at several area mills; and will be remembered by many as a "Pretty Lady".

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Hamill; son, Freddie Stooksbury; 2 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; brothers and sisters, Gladys Howard, Blanche Gosnell, Rosa Lee Sumner, Carrie Adkins, Billy Adkins, and Charles Adkins.

Survivors include:
Children: Brenda Coleman & husband, Ellis of Rockwood, TN
Larry Stooksbury & wife, Annette of Rockwood, TN
Sheryl Stooksbury Ogle of Rockwood, TN
Diane Cook of Rockwood, TN

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 6, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Graveside services and interment will be held Sunday, July 7, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood
