Martha Ellen Youngblood (maiden name "Holte" from her TX Death Certificate) was born January 02,1847 in SC and died February 12, 1921 in Ellis County, TX. She was the wife of Orville Columbus Youngblood. They came to Ellis County, Texas after 1880 to join two brothers, William Franklin Youngblood and Charles Elford Youngblood, who were already there. Orville Columbus was born October 05, 1841 and died March 06, 1893. He is buried in the Elm Branch Cemetery (Bardwell Cemetery), Ellis County, TX. She received his Confederate Pension from the state of TX (Pension, no. 27698).

Son William Arthur Youngblood and his wife Mary L. Williams Youngblood, daughter Lillie Youngblood, and son Grover Blake Youngblood are also buried at Elm Branch Cemetery at Bardwell.

Her Texas Death Certificate says she was to be buried at Bethany Cemetery. I believe this was a mistake on the death certificate. I believe she was buried with her husband Orville Columbus Youngblood at Elm Branch Cemetery and does not have a marker herself. (A photo volunteer said the whole cemetery was searched and no stone was found.)
