Alfred Martin Wenholz was born March 28, 1892,in Algonquin, IL, the son of Louis and Amelia LaBahn Wenholz. He received his degree in Dairy Manufacturing from Iowa state College in Ames.
He married Edna Gaile Braden in Independence on Dec 6, 1916. They were parents of 2 sons, Edwin L. (Ted) and A. Merrill Wenholz. They family moved to Winthrop in the early 1930's.
Alfred died on July 30 1983 at People's Hospital in Indepemdence. at age91. He was preceded in death by his wife Edna in 1967 and a son Merrill in 1962. He is survived by his son Edwin, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ United in Winthrop. Burial at Fairview cemetery, Winthrop.
