She and Samuel had 8 children during their marriage of 33 years: Charles, Henry Clay, Clarence, Thomas, Mary, Elsa, Elfie, and Ida. Sarah McBee died in Eugene, Oregon on June 17, 1928 of carcinoma of the stomach and bowels. The death certificate for Sarah indicates that she was buried at the Lowell Cemetery in Lowell, Lane, Oregon. It is likely that she is buried beside her husband Samuel McBee and daughter Mary Ellen, although no headstone for Sarah can be found.
