PERRY S.DARROHN

Perry S.Darrohn, died at Daytona Beach, Fla., Sunday, May 10th aged 62 years. He was born in Rush, Mar.21,1874, son of the late Morris R., Civil War veteran, and Ellen (Green) Dorrohn of that town and a descendant of two pioneer families there. Two great-grandfathers of Mr. Darrohn, Nathan L.Perry and Jabez Green, came from New England and settled in Rush soon after the close of the Revolutionary War. Both served in the Sullivan campaign and in that way became scquainted with the natural resources of the Genesee Valley and decided to settle in those parts.
Mr. Darrohn was educated in the Genesee Wesleyan Seminary at Lima and the Geneseo State Normal School. For many years he was in the railway mail service, but retired a year ago on account of ill heath, In 1912, Mr. Darrohn married Miss Grace M. Button of Rochester, who died in that city in 1922.
He leaves three brothers, Everett G., of Scottsville, Joseph F.of Honeoye Falls, and M.Donald Darrohn, and three sisters, Mrs. William C. Faugh, Mrs. Leroy F. Beers and Mrs. Roland C.Harris, all of Rochester; also several nieces and nephews.
The body was brought to the home of his sister, Mrs. Beers, Glen road, Brighton, where funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery, Rush.
The bearers were E.G. and M.D. Darrohn, L.F. Beers, Dr. R.C. Harris, W.C. Faugh, brothers and brothers-in-law of the deceased, and Artur Button, a brother of deceased wife.
Scottsville relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Everett G. Darrohn and daughters, Mrs. Frank W. Mathews and husband, and Lillian Darrohn.
