Arthur Francis Noel, 90, a retired cigar maker, died yesterday at his home, 423 North Street, McSherrystown, after a brief illness. He was a son of the late Adam and Sarah Spalding Noel, a member of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, McSherrystown Home Association and McSherrystown Aerie, Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was the husband of Mrs. Agnes Brady Noel, to whom he was married July 31, 1900.
Surviving are his widow; six children, Miss Gertrude Noel, at home; Sister Agnes Carmel, St. Joseph's, Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia; Henry Noel, Frederick Street; Mrs. Grace Smith, Winchester, Virginia; Joseph L. Noel, Hanover and Mrs. Bernadette Frey, Brewster Street, 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held with prayers at the Walter funeral home, McSherrystown, followed by a requiem mass at Annunciation Church. The Rt. Rev. Patrick F. McGee will be celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. --
