James Robert Arvin, 70, of Hanover, Ind., formerly of Oldham County, died Friday at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Ind.
Hes a retired farmer, a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Madison American Legion Post.
Survivors: his wife, the former Rachel Jones of Hanover; a son, James L. Arvin, of Hanover; a daughter, Ginger Sexton of Hanover; three sisters, Mildred Arvin of San Antonio, Texas, Eva Manley of Middletown and Annabelle Gassert; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The body will be cremated. There will be no services. Arrangements: Vail-Holt Funeral Home in Hanover.
Expressions of sympathy: donor's favorite charity.
