Clyde Alexander was the son of John C. and Zelda (Smith) Alexander, born March 26, 1858 in Wayne County and died November 24, 1914. He married Carrie K. Paine May 23, 1882. He is survived by his wife and son, Paul, two brothers, John of Bloomington and Frank of Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Luster of Fairfield and Miss Zerelda of Springfield, and his step-mother, Mrs. Loretta R. Alexander of Chicago. Burial in Slocumb cemetery.
