Louise Foster, 93, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Solarbron Point. She was born on December 13, 1919, to Nathan Foster, Sr. and Rose Egloff.

She worked for Dr. Victor Johnson for over 25 years and participated in many professional and charitable organizations, notably, the Indiana Society of Medical Assistants, and Westside Chapter of Civitan International, and the Reitz Big Blue Boosters Club. Louise was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved to travel and delighted in having visited every state, Canada, Mexico and nine European countries.

Preceding Louise in death are siblings, Nathan Foster, Jr., June Foster Lively, Clyde N. Foster, Sr., Jack Foster and Betty Foster Cummings Baker; half-siblings, Helen Smith Dukes, Rose Smith Borchert and Charles Smith.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to Gentiva Hospice and Solarbron Terrace staff for her care.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2701 W. Franklin Street, Evansville, IN, officiated by Father David Nunning, with entombment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit 4-8 PM, Friday, at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN, with a Memorial Service at 5:00 PM. Friends may also visit 9:00 AM until service time at the church on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church and the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
