Sam was a SGT in the US Army stationed in Germany.
Sam R. Bass, owner of a furniture, antiques and art business in the Central West End, (in St. Louis) died Monday (July 24, 1995) of injuries sustained earlier Monday in an automobile accident in Monterrey, Mexico. He was 51 and lived in Albuquerque, N.M.

He opened a second shop "Dos Casas" in Albuquerque in about 1993.

Sam was the eldest son of Robert Forrest Bass, and his first wife Inez Smith Bass.

Sam's ashes were scattered in Nevada.

Sam is half brother to LT Kenneth Duane Bass
