Anton A. "Tony" Riedel, 94, Colby, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at his daughter's home in Lee's Summit, Mo.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Colby United Methodist Church; burial in Beulah Cemetery, Colby.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kersenbrock Funeral Chapel, Colby.

COLBY -- Anton A. "Tony" Riedel, 94, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012. He was born Dec. 7, 1917, in Thomas County.

Preceded in death: his wife, Anna; parents, William H. and Antonia Riedel; and seven siblings.

Survivors: sons, Richard (Kolean), of Gardner, and Ron (Kathy), of Wichita; daughter, Kaylene (Johnnie) Crabb, of Lee's Summit, Mo.; stepsister, Elanora Hemmert, of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Kersenbrock Funeral Chapel, Colby. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Colby United Methodist Church. Memorials ate to the church or Thomas County Historical Society, in care of the funeral chapel.
