Grave V. Pool, 98, former resident of Williamstown, passed away on Saturday (June 29, 2013) at 6:30 a.m. at Pleasant View Health Care in Barberton, Ohio.

She was born on Oct. 18, 1914, in Washington County, Ohio, a daughter of John Fredrick Stegner and Ada Cleo Sutton Stegner. Grace was the oldest surviving member of First United Methodist Church in Williamstown.

On March 16, 1938, she married Frank B. Pool who preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 2001.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Williams of New Franklin, Ohio, and Carol Bickel of South Charleston, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Stephen (Kathy) William, Michele (Steven) Carpenter, Michael (Pamela) Williams, Shawn Williams (James Keller), Kelly (Joe) Gourley, Tracey Prouse; 11 grandchildren: Jeremy Carpenter, Amanda Carpenter, Emilie Carpenter, Andrew Carpenter, Nicholas Williams, Joshua Williams, Estell Williams, Madison Williams, Paige Prouse, Christian Prouse and Katie Gourley; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Lily, Olivia and Sophia; and several nieces and nephews, including Helen Stevens, Marilyn Stegner, Betty and Fred Stegner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Williams and Michele Bickel; three brothers; one sister; one half-brother; and one half-sister.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (July 3) at 1:30 p.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Gedon officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery.
