Zora Carswell Isenhour, 88, Salisbury, died Friday (June 3, 2005) at Rowan Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born Jan. 1, 1917, in Danville, Va, to the late Fred and Sarah Thursday Carswell.
Mrs. Isenhour was educated in the Catawba County schools.
She was a homemaker and a member of Wesleyan Holiness faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.E. "Snow" Isenhour, who died Dec. 16, 2000; and son, Gene D. Isenhour, who died Jan. 1, 2000.
Survivors include son James Edward Isenhour Jr., Salisbury; daughter Ruth Safrit Barringer, Hickory; brother James Carswell, Lenoir; four grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
Services: 2 p.m. Sunday, James C. Lyerly Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Ernest Mullins, pastor, Trinity Wesleyan Church.
Burial, 4:30 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Hickory.
