James William Dryden

James William Dryden, 87, of Carrollton, Ky., died Monday, May 21, 2001, at Gallatin Health Care in Warsaw, Ky.

He was born July 6, 1913, in Gallatin County, Ky., the son of James William and Frances Elizabeth Hudgins Dryden. He was a retired employee of the Kentucky Department of Parks at General Butler State Resort Park. He was a member of the Calvary Apostolic Church in Carrollton.

Surviving are two sons, William D. Dryden of Warsaw and James Dryden Jr. of Carrollton; two daughters, Norma Jean Ballard of Ghent, Ky., and Eva Mae Williamson of Warsaw; four grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Ruby Miles Dryden, on Dec. 8, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday at Calvary Apostolic Church, with burial in Ghent Masonic Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. EDT today at the church.

The Graham-Dunn Funeral Home is in charge of services.
