Harriet Rose Doane, 70, Route 2, Box 55, Lawrenceville, Illnois, died at 11:35 a.m. Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 1938, in Flat Rock, Illinois, to Harry and Mary ( Carson ) McColpin. Harriet owned and operated Country Land Gift Shop. She was a member of Christ Community Church. Survivors include her husband, Marvin E. Doane of Lawrenceville; sons, Barnett William Bass of Vincennes and Michael Anthony Bass of Lawrenceville; stepdaughters, Angela Marie Worrdell of Sullivan, Lisa Marie Begerman of Linton and Louisa Gay Doane of Oregon; stepson, Roger Dale Doane of Linton; grandchildren, Misty Dawn Blann of Vincennes, Barnett William Bass II of Peoria, Ill., and Jeremiah Bass of Vincennes; seven step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren, sister, Shirley Jo Shores of Vincennes, and brothers, Paul Robert Carson of Geneva, N.Y., and Steven Anthony Carson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Orman McColpin and Mary ( Ford )Csrson. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Fellows officiating. There will be not be a visitation.
