Ralph S. Baker
ROUNDUP-- Ralph S. Baker, 79, who had worked as a bronco buster, lumberman, blacksmith, building mover and retailer, died Friday at his son's home west of Roundup.
He was a son of Edward Oscar and Mary Amanda Baker, who moved from his birthplace in Newcastle, Neb., to homestead in Halliday, N.D., in 1905. He lived in Halliday most of his life, and in 1921 married Rose McLeod in Medora, N.D.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Claud (Mabel) Leach of Halliday: three sons, Elvin M. of Roundup, Eugene O. of Medford, Ore., and Robert S. of Missoula; five daughters, Mrs. Heber (Violet) Miller of Lolo, Mrs. Charles (Ellen Marie) Miller of American Fork, Utah, Mrs. Denman (Estella) Gerstung of Cording, N.D., Mrs. Fred (Laura May) Fiddler of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Dale (Ardella) Betts of Arlee.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. in Wier's Funeral Chapel.
