MRS. ILZE SPROGIS

Mrs. Ilze Sprogis of 922 Brower, who was born in Riga, Latvia and came to the United States 15 years ago, died at 3:25 p.m. yesterday at Baptist Hospital after an illness of three weeks. She was 81 years old.
Mrs. Sprogis, who was the widow of Joseph Sprogis, lived near Senatobia, Miss., before moving to Memphis in 1951. She was a member of the Latvian Lutheran Church of Senatobia.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Alma Krastins of the Brower address and Mrs. Olga Berends of New York City, and four grandchildren.
Memphis Funeral Home has charge.

Mrs. Ilze Sprogis, a resident of Memphis since 1951, widow of Joseph Sprogis, died yesterday afternoon at Baptist Hospital.
Mrs. Sprogis was born 81 years ago in Riga, Latvia and came to the United States 15 years ago. She lived near Senatobia, Miss., before moving to Memphis and was a member of the Latvian Lutheran Church there.
She made her home in Memphis with a daughter, Mrs. Alma Krastins at 922 Brower, and also leaves another daughter and four grandchildren.
Services at 8 Saturday night at Memphis Funeral Home followed by services about 12:30 p. m. Sunday at the Latvian Lutheran Church in Senatobia. Burial there. (NOTE: Ilze Sprogis is buried in Senatobia at the Bethesda Cemetery.)
