Foster T. Evans Jr., 62, formerly of West Newton, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, in Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, S.C. Born in Pittsburgh, Aug. 27, 1949, he was the son of Foster T. Evans Sr. and the late Lorraine J. Trexel Evans. He was a Marine veteran, having served in Vietnam and was a member of the Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church. In addition to his father, he is survived by his sons, Daniel (Donna) Evans of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Thomas (Sandi) Evans of Aiken, S.C.; grandchildren, Braeden, McKenna Rose, Josh, Sierra and Kayla; and sister, Linda Evans (Raymond) Beckinger of Fellsburg. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Evans. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, in the Chapel of Mon Valley Memorial Park, 2nd St. Ext., Donora, with the Elder Thomas Hamer officiating.
