Pearl W. Lindsay 1919 ~ 2005 It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Pearl Wilde Lindsay, age 85, who passed away July 10, 2005 in West Valley City, Utah. With great joy she is reunited with her loved ones. Pearl was born August 31, 1919 in Boulderville, Marion, Utah to Sylvester Wilde and Mary Emma Randall. She graduated from Summit County High School. Pearl married Harold Lindsay on February 25, 1941 in Coalville, Utah. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a wonderful mother and caretaker to many. She was organized and a meticulous housekeeper, having a talent for making projects look simple. She loved having family and friends around all the time. She was a great cook, loved to crochet, sew, quilt and was a perfectionist in all things. She taught her children and grandchildren to can salsa, stewed tomatoes, jams and other items. Even though mom suffered from medical problems most of her life, she had a great sense of humor and loved life. Before her health started failing she spent 15 winters in Yuma, Arizona, where she met many new friends and stayed in contact with them until her death. In her earlier years she loved the outdoors and especially camping and fishing. As the matriarch of our family, we will miss her greatly. She was the best Mom in the world! Pearl is survived by her daughters, Colleen Glaittli, West Valley City, Utah and Connie J. Orvin, Cache Valley, Utah; sons, Robert W. Lindsay, Summit County, Utah and Dwayne W. Lindsay, Kearns, Utah; 21 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold (Hal) Lindsay; three grandchildren, Ricky D. Lindsay, Deborah Lindsay, Joshua C. Orvin and special friend, Ed Dale. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a viewing Thursday from 8:45 until 9:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park. Published July 14, 2005 Deseret News
