Jewell "Son" Edens, 85, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Joe Torres with Home Hospice, officiating.

He was born on December 30, 1922, in Howard County, Texas and married Mary Lou Weaver on May 31, 1947 in Big Spring, Texas.

Mr. Edens served in the United States Navy during World War II. He had worked as a contractor for 50 years, then as a pumper for CRMWD for seven years, retiring in 1985.

The family suggests memorials to the donors favorite charity.

His ashes were placed in the coffin of his wife Mary Lou Weaver Edens
per Patsy Wallace a family member.
