Lea Howell, age 82, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born June 18, 1931, in Delight, AR, to James Albert and Nora Lee Slatton Wilson.
Lea retired from Thiokol and was an employee of Sullivan Funeral Home in Marshall for many years.
Lea is survived by her daughters, Marva Evans and husband Kirby of Marshall, and Robin Goodale and husband Jerry of Corinth, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, E.V. Wilson and wife Ann of Linden, Texas, and E.S. Wilson of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; three sisters, Ruth Parks, Zetta Crocker and husband Thomas, both of Murfressboro, Arkansas, and Gustina Jester of McCaskill, Arkansas; and many other family members and friends who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Loyd Howell; sons, Perry Loyd Howell and Richard "Ricky" Harlon Howell; parents, James and Nora Wilson; sisters, Verdell Wilson and Theda Bolt; and a brother, Albert "Jake" Wilson.
Visitation for Lea will be 6-8 PM, Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Sullivan Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas. Funeral service will be 2 PM, Monday, July 1, 2013, at The Colonial Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas, with Bro. Brandon Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Algoma North Cemetery in Marshall, Texas.
