According to Clyda Floyda Wilson-Hubbard as told to Scott Jensen on August 13, 2011:

"Uncle Floyd was married and they had a child. Shortly afterwards, his wife [name unknown] took off to live with another man, and she took the small child with her. The child was given, and grew up with, the surname of his step-father [did not grow up a Holden]. Several years later, the son wanted to get in touch with his father and try to reestablish relations, but Floyd was unwilling and rejected his son at first. The son was told by one of Floyd's brothers that the only way Floyd would meet with him....would be for the son to change his surname to Holden, as it should be. The son was unwilling. Shortly before Floyd's death in 1991, Clyda Wilson-Hubbard, Floyd's niece, was taking care of making arrangements in Cadillac, MI for his care. But, that care became too much for her to deal with, and she contacted the son who came over to Cadillac, MI and took his father to a nursing facility near where the son lived in Ovid, MI. Floyd died shortly thereafter. The name of the son has been forgotten and that line of Holden's may never be made known.
