Married to Hilda Youngberg, May 18, 1905, Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She died Jan 8, 1949.

Rancher and farmer. Owned Richfield Brick and Tile Co. Former employe, Gunnison Sugar Co. Active member LDS Church. Member, Richfield Lions Club. Chairman, Sevier County Fair Board.

Survivors; sons, daughters, Golden W., Bountiful; Newell J. Venice, Servier County; Mrs. Marvin E. (Irene) Smith, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ray (Vera) Hutchinson, Heber; Mrs. Dr. Phillip (Mayda) Low, Lafayette, Ind.; 27 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Rupert (Tressa) Gaufin, Mrs. Alzina Whitehead, Mrs. Frank (Veneda) Gaugh, all Salt Lake City; Mrs. Herbert (Lora) Gleave, Antimony, Garfield County.

Funeral, Monday, 3 p.m. Grandview Second LDS Ward Chapel, 2930-20th East. Friends call at the family home Monday, noon to 2:30 p.m. Additional services, Tuesday, noon, Magleby Mortuary Chapel, Richfield, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial Richfield City Cemetery."
