BERWAGER, Carl G. age 88, of Beavercreek, OH, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012. at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Beavercreek on January 13, 1924 to Gilbert D. and Daisy H. (Sidenstick) Berwager, who preceded him in death. Carl was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles O. Berwager, son-in-law, Cyril Hoying and brother-in-law, David Shaffer. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years and high school sweetheart, Willetta M. (Davis) Berwager, whom he married on June 10, 1944; two daughters, Bonnie L. Hoying, of West Carrollton, OH and Carol A. Berwager, of Fairborn, OH; a sister, Helen B. Shaffer, of Beavercreek, OH; grandchildren, Debbie (Kent) Bierley, Bryan (Michelle) Hoying, Janine (Todd) Hartman, Jared (Amanda) Hoying; great grandchildren, Stephanie, Chris, William, Jacob, Megan, Abby and Grace: and a special and close friend, Elmer Moore. Carl was a graduate of Beavercreek High School Class of 1942, a member of the Lions Club, the Knights of Pythias and the Charity Grange and was a former volunteer firefighter in Beavercreek. He retired after having been employed as a milkman and then later as a self employed fuel oil driver. Carl also did seasonal work for Phillips Companies of Beavercreek, OH. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton- Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012.
