Mrs. Ed Pantle Dies
Mrs. Ed Pantle, 929 Payton St., died in the Newman Memorial County Hospital Thursday at 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Robert A. Hunt, Associate Pastor of the First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Verda Lanning, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Steven Lanning, was born July 26, 1880 in Savannah, Mo. The Lanning family moved to Allen, where the father was a pastor of the Allen Methodist Church for several years. She married Ed Pantle at Allen, Sept. 19, 1901. She is survived by her husband of the home; one son Ed Pantle, of Gage, Oklahoma; six daughters, Mrs. Betty Ermery, Lawrence; Mrs. Mildred Kirchoff, Wichita; Mrs. Gertrude Hazen, Chanute; Mrs. Mary Schaeffer, Rt. 4, Emporia; Miss Marguerite Pantle, of the home; Mrs. Lucile Robinson,Shawnee; three step-brothers, John, Steve and Frank Lanning, of Artesia, N.M.; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Gilliland, Holton; Mrs. Lavina Forestt, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Flossie Gibson, Holton; seven granddaughters, 16 grandsons, and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.

The Pantle Services
Funeral services for Mrs. Verda Pantle, 929 Peyton St., who died Thursday, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Robert A. Hunt, associate pastor of the First Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Piper sang, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Plummer. The pallbearers, all grandsons, were Warren E. Hazen, Larry Schaefer, Leroy, Buford, and George E. Hazen and Russell Kirchoff. Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
