Donald "Doc" DeFlorian, 73, Cameron, Wis., died Monday, July 4, 2005, at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire.

He was born April 3, 1932, to Basil and Barbara (Trusonni) DeFlorian at Stoddard, Wis. He married Dorothy Randall at LaCrescent, Minn. Doc retired from the U.S. Naval Reserves with 37 years of service and also worked as a lineman with the Dairyland Power Company until his retirement.

Prior to his retirement, he owned and operated Canoe Villa & Sunnyside Trailer Courts in Cameron and DeFlorian's Mobile Home Court in Chetek. He built the Museum Road addition and Canoe Villa subdivisions and had served on the Stanley Town Board.

He loved to hunt, collect vintage cars and antiques, travel in his RV, and buy and sell land.

He was preceded in death by his parents; eight infant children; a brother, Ray DeFlorian; and a daughter-in-law, Colleen (Haug) DeFlorian.

Surviving are his wife Dorothy of Cameron; one son, Dr. Timothy (Kathy) DeFlorian of Cameron; a daughter, Yvette DeFlorian of Cameron; brothers Robert (Mary) DeFlorian of Lockhart, Texas, William DeFlorian of Genoa, Wis., Ed (Mary) DeFlorian of La Crosse, and George (Kathy) DeFlorian of Onalaska; sisters, Margie Mooney of Cottage Grove, Minn., Pauline (La Verne) Engh of Viroqua, and Barbara (Donald) Becker of La Crosse; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 8, from St. Peter's Catholic Church in Cameron with interment at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Rice Lake with Military Honors accorded by Piper-Marsh American Legion Post 194 of Cameron.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Mark Rausch Funeral Home in Cameron, where there will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and for the hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Arrangements are with the Mark Rausch Funeral Service, Cameron and Dallas.
