Eliza was a daughter of Nathan F. Rogers and his wife, Agnes Waugh. She married Burroughs Moore, a son of the Rev. Joseph E. Moore and his wife, Rebecca Foster. Eliza and Burroughs were wed on February 22, 1821 in Adams County, Ohio. Burrough's father, Rev. Jos. E. Moore officiated. Eliza and Burroughs had nine known children; five sons and four daughters.
