Valerie Stovall Peel died Aug. 17, 1999 in La Grange, Texas. She was a native of Montgomery County, married 49 years to Thomas Jefferson (T . J.) and lived in Montgomery, Texas. She and T. J. had one daughter, Sarah Anne who married Michael Dixon Mabry, Aug. 14, 1965. Their three sons are John Thomas Hood, Milam Dixon and Travis Michael Mabry. Valerie Peel is buried in the Peel Cemetery, part of the Old Montgomery Methodist Cemetery in Montgomery, Montgomery County, Texas.
She was the daughter of William Eugene and Ada Ann Miranda Missouri Elizabeth Williams Stovall. Valerie was born in the Longstreet Community on the family farm. She and her seven siblings grew up there.
The farm is still in the family, now owned solely by one of Valerie's grandsons, Travis Michael Mabry who married Traci Suzanne Eller on Sept. 25, 1999. They live in Valerie and Thomas J.'s old home in Montgomery, Texas.
