Dolly had lived with her family in Del City, since 1952. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Horton Little Deakins, Sr; 3 daughters Sarah Hohn, Ada Northcutt, and Alice Silverberg; and a son, Horton Jr, and their spouses. She has 4 grandchildren, and 3 step-grandchildren. She also is survived by her brothers Ray and Billy Nowlin, and sisters Daisy Abston, Dorothy Muecke, Irene Boyles, and Peggy Rakes; and many nieces and nephews.
She was an acive member of Sunnyland United Methodist Church, including Sunday School, the women's group, and the choir. Dolly enjoyed singing with the Mid-Del Singers for several years and had been active in scouting and band parents for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Bertha Nowlin, and her sister Grace Edmonds.
She was a strong and loving support in our lives, and we'll miss and always cherish her playful sense of humor and her caring devotion.
