Chapman Young died betewen 1865-1870 from Houston County military records. Chapman is seen on 1865 Gov. Brown's militia rolls as being disabled in 1865 but had previously served in the CSA. Chapman's wife Mary is shown as a widow on the 1870 census report with 4 children under 17. The older children are shown in this report working at jobs after the death of the father. Cassie as a housekeeper in the Parris home one son as a farm laborer. Emma Jane is shown married to Nathan O'Neal Glover with a young son George, my grandfather's brother. Fortunately for me my grandfather knew all of his aunts and uncles and gave me in great detail the family history.
