In 1912, she married Carl Edward Carlson. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas and is the daughter of W. Osterman, a construction entrepreneur. She went to public school in Fort Worth, then graduated from high-school there and the Denton Normal School. She was a teacher in Ponder, Denton County, and for one year in Roanoke, the same county and one year in Carlson, Travis County. She is an educated woman with a sunny disposition. Two boys, who are sturdy and sweet, will soon help their father with the farming: Carl Edward, born in 1914 and Raymond Julius, born in 1915. The Edward
