Mrs. Bessie Beshires, 82, 1472 Whitney St., Benton Harbor, died Tuesday afternoon at Mercy Hospital, Benton Harbor. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Fairplain Chapel, Benton Harbor, of Florin Funeral Service, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Crystal Springs Cemetery, Benton Harbor. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
Mrs. Beshires was born June 11, 1902, in Ripley, Tenn., and had resided in this area since 1956. She had been employed as a nursing assistant at the former House of David Nursing Home and as a clerk at Fred's Grocery, Benton Harbor.
Survivors include: five sons James of Coloma, Clarence, Larry and Delbert of Benton Harbor and Earl of Knoxville, Tenn. ; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Beshires of Brownsville, Tenn.; 24 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1959, and by one daughter and five sons.
