Wallingford, Conn. - Boleslaw F. Zmijewski, 82, died July 10, 2004. He was the husband of Rosaria Brancato Zmijewski.
He was born on August 4, 1921 in Salem, Mass., to Roman and Mary Peplowski Zmijewski.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and a ex-POW of Stalag Seventeen - B Krems, Austria. Before his retirement he was a engineering draftsman at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He was a founding member of the Church of the Resurrection, the men's league of the church and also a minister of the Eucharist.
He is survived by a son William S. Zmijewski and his wife Donna of Wallingford, three daughters Mary Ludwig and her husband Robert of Wallingford, Rosemary DeRoy of Wallingford and Annamarie Zimbardo and her husband Anthony. He is survived by four brothers Raymond Zmijewski of Wallingford, Edward, Michael and Louis Wroblewski all of Mass. Four sisters Therese Wisniewski of Wallingford, Alice Tobin, Elaine Szczechowicz and Lucille Little all of Mass. Ten grandchildren Cynthia Zmijewski Demers, Suzanne Zmijewski, Benjamin Ludwig, Jason Ludwig, Kathryn Parker, Jonathan Ludwig, Jaime Williams, Jessica DeRoy, Marianna Zimbardo and Gabrielle Zimbardo. One great granddaughter Margaret Louise Ludwig.
