Mrs. Sarah M. Beach departed this life on Thursday night, Nov. 16th, 1905, aged 74 years 2 months and 5 days. She was born in Stillwater, New Jersey, September 12, 1831. On June 24, 1852, she was united in marriage with J. C. Beach in Deckertown, New Jersey. In 1857 they removed to Winona County, Minnesota, and in 1877 to Lyon county in the same state where they were among the pioneers, homesteaded and built up a home. In 1903 they removed to Morgan Hill, California, the present family home.
She was the mother of five children and two of them, M. R. Beach and Mrs. Harriet M. Marken, survive her.
At the age of 12 years she became a member of the Presbyterian church and has been an earnest and faithful Christian woman to [page torn] of her long life. She was a faithful, loving wife and mother and devoted to the best interest of all with whom she was associated.
The funeral took place from the U. P. church of which she was a member, on Saturday, November 18, and the interment in Mount Hope Cemetery. She died as she had lived, in quiet faith and trust.
