In the 1900 Jewell City, Jewell County, Kansas Census CA, 35, and his brother Albert, 28, are living together. Charles is widowed with two children, but they are not at his home at the time of the census. Charles is working at Candy Kitchen as a short order (hard to read, cook?).

Charles married Willie Eddington October 4, 1900, at Piedmont, Wayne County, Missouri.

In the 1920 Dade County, MO Census Charles H, 54, and his wife Pearl H or K? (should be W), 50, have the following children: Isabelle, 16; Fern E, 14; and Charles A, 13.

Charles was a miller. He died of cerebral hemorhage at age 59. DR Dawdy of Jerico City, Kansas is the informant on his Missouri Death Certificate. DR is his younger brother Delta Roy "Chug" Dawdy, a twin to his brother Della Joy born in 1881.
