Stockwell, Oct 25 - Emma Cartmill, 84, local resident, died here at the home of a son, Theodore Cartmill, from the infirmities of old age, Following a ten days' serious illness. Born Oct 27, 1852, four miles southwest of Stockwell, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bartholomew, and was married to David Cartmill, Nov. 30, 1871. Her husband died about 16 years ago. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Conrad, of Stockwell; a son, Theodore, of Stockwell; two brothers, Dr. James Bartholomew, of Santa Anna, Ca., and Newton H. Bartholomew, of Rochdale; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the Stockwell M. E. church, with the Rev. Charles Roush officiating. Burial will be in Stockwell cemetery.
