Samuel Ray "Sammy" Hall, Contemporary Christian singer and songwriter, stepped into the arms of his loving Savior, Monday, June 24, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. He was 67.

Sammy first came to fame as a member of Florida's most popular rock band in the day called The Birdwatchers, who had a radio hit. Everything changed for Hall after nearly dying from alcoholism and meeting his Lord and Savior Jesus.

Sammy then took his extreme musical talent and traveled in the music ministry for 45 years; reaching the youth of America and throughout the world helping troubled teens and leading them to Christ. He became one of the most well known CCM artists and performer of the late 70s and 1980s.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,
