Mr. Bentze worked as an engineer for Santa Fe Railroad for 31 years, and was a World War II veteran of the Persian Gulf command.
He was also a member of St. John Roman Catholic Cathedral for 49 years.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Denise Hart; his mother, Mary; a brother, Mike(1910-1977); and a sister, Dorothy.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Irene Bentze; a daughter, Bobbie; a brother, Frank Bentze; two sisters, Helen Schaal and Agnes
Johnson; a grandson; a great-granddaughter; and several friends, including Mildred and Lee Zanette and George Lyons Jr.
