James Sidney Anderson
90, died on Thursday, June 6, 2013. He was born in Nicholas County on Sept. 29, 1922 to the late Lute and Julia Ockerman Anderson. He was a World War II Veteran, a farmer, and a member of the Carlisle Christian Church.

He is survived by four children; Sidney (Ruth Ann) Anderson, Brenda (Tom) Barnes, James R. Anderson, and Jack (Cindy) Anderson; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Carrie Anderson and Ruby Trussell; four brothers: Buck Anderson, Sam Anderson, Raymond Anderson, and Billy Anderson.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Lizzie Mae Livingood, and Thelma McCord; and one brother, L.T. Anderson.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. On Monday, June 10, 2013 at Carlisle-Clark Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Burial with military honors followed at the Carlisle Cemetery. Pallbearers were J.T. Barnes, Jarrett Horton, Robbie Mitchell, Billy Planck, Adam Anderson, Casey Anderson, and Mike Anderson. Carlisle-Clark Funeral Home in charge of arrangements
