James Sidney Anderson
90, died on Thursday, June 6, 2013. He was born in Nicholas County on Sept. 29, 1922 to the late Lute and Julia Ockerman Anderson. He was a World War II Veteran, a farmer, and a member of the Carlisle Christian Church.
He is survived by four children; Sidney (Ruth Ann) Anderson, Brenda (Tom) Barnes, James R. Anderson, and Jack (Cindy) Anderson; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Carrie Anderson and Ruby Trussell; four brothers: Buck Anderson, Sam Anderson, Raymond Anderson, and Billy Anderson.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Lizzie Mae Livingood, and Thelma McCord; and one brother, L.T. Anderson.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. On Monday, June 10, 2013 at Carlisle-Clark Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Burial with military honors followed at the Carlisle Cemetery.
