Glenn A. Krominga, 81, of Odell, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2001 in an automobile accident in rural Odell.

Mr. Krominga was born May 18, 1920 in Odell. He was the son of Edward R. and Sophia M. (Mammen) Krominga.

He married Beulah Kelly on Nov. 23, 1946 in Cornell. She died July 21, 1986.

Mr. Krominga was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Glenn retired from Smith-Douglas in 1980 and later worked for Odell schools.

Survivors include three sons: Alvin G. Krominga of Las Vegas, David J. Krominga and Ronald E. (Shelly) Krominga, both of Pontiac, IL; three daughters: Phyllis A. (Terry) Rathbun of Tucson, AZ, Lori K. (Dan) Erickson and Rhonda D. (David) Wilson, both of Pontiac, IL; one brother, Edward "Bud" Krominga of Pontiac; two sisters: Marie Rapp of Pontiac and Edna Rogers of Streator; 17 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Lawrence, Donald and Earl; one sister, Mildred Barger; and two grandchildren.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Duffy Funeral Home, Odell. Rev. Davin Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Odell. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Odell Grade School Sports Booster Club.
