W. J. Christopher Died Here Last Sunday.
Wiley J. Christopher, an aged and respected citizen of Montgomery County, died at his home in this city Sunday, March 9, after an illness of several weeks duration. He was 67 years old. The funeral service was held at the Baptist church in this city, Tuesday afternoon, March 11, at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. I. M. Turnage of Peery, Missouri, former pastor of the Baptist church in Wellsville. Interment was made in the Wellsville cemetery.
He leaves to mourn his loss his widow and a number of children. We join with the many friends here in extending sympathy to the bereaved ones. (Wellsville Optic-News, March 1924)
