Funeral services for J.D. Waggoner, 58 a lifetime Russett resident, were conducted Wednesday afternoon.
Rites were held at Russett Baptist church with the Rev. Kenneth Cauthen officiating. Burial was in Russett cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
Mr. Waggoner died Sunday in a Talihina hospital. He entered the hospital here last week and had been moved to Talihina. He had been ill health a year.
He was born November 4th 1906 at Russett and was a farmer-stockman. Survivors include three sisters; Mrs. Carrie Jester of Russett, Mrs. Addie Freeze of Mannsville and Beatrice Hargis of Fontana, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Leonard Biles, Harold O'Steen, L.W. "Boss" Easterwood, Ott Looney, Roland Cumbie, Bud Gray, C.B. Forguson and Frank Alexander.
