James W. Arnold, 75, 713 East 11th, died Saturday evening at South (Grace) Hospital after a long illness.
Born Jan. 6, 1896, at Kiel, Wis.; he married Marie Wikoff June 7, 1922, at Fort Scott. He lived in Hutchinson for 23 years. He taught school for a time and later worked for Cessna, retiring in 1963. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Mechanics' Local 1992, and the Lyle Rischel post of the American Legion.
Survivors are the widow, of the home; sons, James E., RFD 3, Milton, Pueblo, Colo., Loran E., 5601 Highland Drive, William J., Denver, Norman R., El Dorado; daughters, Mrs. Evalyn Huber, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Lora Galliart, 111 West 26th; brothers, Fred C., Des Plaines, Ill., Milton, of Menomonee Falls, Wis., Arthur, Menomonee Falls; sisters, Mrs. Anne Frisch, Menomonee Falls, Mrs. Sophia Cosgrove, Oakland, Calif., 17 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.
