Former Arcola Resident Dies
Arcola, Ill. — Mrs. Effie Cuppy Munson, 88, a former Arcola resident, died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Helen Hopkins, in Detroit, Mich., Saturday evening.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Shrader's funeral home. Burial will be in Arcola cemetery.
Mrs. Munson was born in Indiana, Jan. 25, 1863, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carter Cuppy. She was married to Stephen Munson in 1897, and they lived on a farm near Arcola until his death.
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Munson is survived by a son, Horace, of Detroit, Mich.; a step-son, G. Fred Munson of Arcola; a brother, Arla Cuppy of Humboldt; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Moss of Charleston; and four grandchildren.
