Kathryn E. Wynkoop, 82 of Wood Street, Clarion, died Saturday, May 24, 1997, in Allegheny Manor at Shippenville RD1.

Born Nov. 15, 1914, in Rimbersburg, she was a daughter of Guy and Hazel Bashline McCall.

She was married July 15, 1931, to H. Fenton Wyncoop, who died Sept. 13, 1989.

Mrs. Wynkoop taught beauty school and she and her husband owned and operated a beauty shop in Clarion for more than 52 years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarion, the DAR and the Ladies Auxillary of the Clarion American Legion Post.

Surviving are two sons, Howard F. Wyncoop, Jr. of Lakeland, Florida., and David Wyncoop of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren, Howard and Susan Wyncoop and Tanya Talaber; a stepgrandson, David Wilson; and a great-granddaughter, Andrea Wilson.

She is also survived by two sisters, Virginia Curll of Sligo and Helen Schrecengost of Shippenville.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wyncoop was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph McCall, and two sisters, Mary Cunningham and Guyla Magness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in the Goble Funeral Home of Clarion with the Rev. Willian LaVelle, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Clarion, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Clarion Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
