Born January 20, 1921, in Ashland, MO, he was the son of William Dewey and Wilma Maupin.
Raymond loved music and had taught himself how to play the guitar, violin, piano, and harmonica. He enjoyed traveling around Missouri and played music and sang for nursing homes, fairs, and churches.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
