Geneva Estelle Sessions, 79, of Nacogdoches passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. Geneva was born on May 31, 1934, in Shawnee, Okla.

She was born to George and Lou Ella Collins who, following the Great Depression, moved to Oakland, Calif. at the onset of WWII. After the war, the family moved to South Texas where Geneva later met and married her husband of 51 years, Roger Sessions. Roger, Geneva and their children settled in Nacogdoches in 1972. Geneva graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in interior design. She then owned and operated Neva's Draperies, and was a loving wife and mother to their three children. Geneva was treasured by her friends and family. She had a sweet spirit and was loved by everyone that knew her.

Geneva is preceded in death by her parents, George Dale Collins and Lou Ella Anderson Collins; husband, Roger E. Sessions; and sister, Vivian Allison.

She is survived by her brother Ernest Collins and wife, Thelma; sons, Roger Carl Sessions, M.D. and wife, Renee, Craig E. Sessions, M.D. and wife, Loretta; daughter, Melanie Kasper, M.D. and husband, John; eight grandchildren, Matt Thigpen and wife, Natalie, Katie Sessions Smith and husband, Lance, Kelly Sessions, Krystin Sessions, Briley Sessions Wiley and husband, Justin, Jordan Sessions, Dylan Smith and Alexandra Sessions; five great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Joel Sessions and wife, Sue, Pete Sullivan and wife, LaDonna; sister-in-law, Joyce Sessions; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and great friends.

Graveside memorial service will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Wells with Pastor Randy Sceroler of Hillview Baptist Church officiating.
