BLOUNTSVILLE, Sept. 2 - Jacob H. Kilmer, 63, died at his home here Saturday after an illness of several months. He leaves a widow and three children by a former marriage, one boy, Oren Kilmer of Anderson, two girls, Mrs. Jessie Current of Blountsville and Mrs. Ola Shroyer of Anderson. Funeral services were held today at 10:30 a.m. at the M. E. church. He was affiliated with the F. and A. M. and that order had charge of the services. Interment in Blountsville cemetery.
*Jacob was the son of Daniel and Lavina (Seaney) Kilmer and married Elizabeth Jackson on Feb. 26, 1870 in Delaware Co., IN.
Jacob was an officer of the Odd Fellows - Blountsville Lodge, No. 305, I.O.O.F., in Feb. of 1884, they had thirty members. He was also a justice of the peace of Blountsville in 1883-1884 along with J. B. Howell.
